I have loved anything creative and artistic for as long as I can remember, be it drumming, photography, fine art, classical music, film or graphic design. I love the freedom and expression that is central to working in this industry. Having the opportunity to create something unique and client focused is what lead me to starting Say Digital Design.

I’ve been working as a professional web developer since 2007 after completing my degree in Computer Engineering. I have been working at Say Digital Design since its inception and specialise in PHP and JavaScript among other languages. I have been very interested in technology since I was a child and never get bored of reading programming books and IT magazines.

Hailing from sunny Portugal, having studied a degree in Communication Design, I arrived in Brighton to join the team at Say Digital Design. I love the creative challenges that you are posed with as a graphic designer and am constantly pushing myself in new and exciting directions. I am now proud to be part of such a creative and productive team.

Here’s a little more detail...
dig in.
At Say Digital Design, ideally we like to get to know the client, meet face to face and develop projects hand in hand with our clients thoughts and expectations. During this stage we will aim to help you identify what you want or need from your web presence, identify issues affecting your current web performance and formulate new directions for your online presence.
Design encompasses a wealth of disciplines. Visual design, user interface design, user experience design and information architecture all play a roll. Our design team are
passionate about every stage of the design process taking great interest and pride in creating functional end user focussed journeys. We create visually powerful and striking sites and applications without sacrificing any form or function.
The web development world is constantly evolving, exciting new techniques are being implemented every day. Our development team are not only highly skilled in a multitude of disciplines they are also tremendoulsy effective at solving solutions with a client and user focussed mentality. Through applying these skills we are able to create cutting edge developments using the latest web compliant coding techniques.
We feel user experience is built up around five core principles. Strategy, specification, backbone, composition and visuals. Each one of these
components play a key role in ensuring a well rounded user experience. Not to be completed independently, more seen as stages to progress
through when developing a website or application. Each principle takes into account web funtionality and the web as an information medium.
Functionality - From a functionality point of view, we are mainly thinking about the stages in a process and how people may consider about completing them.
Information - This is an area where we are concerned what
information the product offers and its meaning to users, to create an information rich environment that easy to absord and make sense of.
Strategy – This component is concerned with not only what the people running the site want out of it but what the users will get out of the site as well.
Specs – The specification is essentially the scope of the site, where we think about what features are to be incorporated into the site and which ones are not.
Backbone – The backbone is where we define how users get to certain pages and where they go after. We need to think about that elements are included in the site before compose how it looks.
Composition – Composition is all all about placing items within a frame, we would look at arranging elements of the site in a way that was efficient and provides the skeleton for the visual elements.
Visuals – First impressions are very important, images, typography, icons, colour schemes all amount to the overall visual appeal of a site and ultimately its success.
